"I've seen a lot of happy people who don't need the latest and greatest things, just the basics, they're so resourceful and will make the most of what they've got"
S'appening people

So I'm currently sitting by the pool writing this. It's 35 degrees and I'm waiting for my plane home. Oh whats that? you didn't know I was away? You thought I was just living my life as normal? the usual work, sleep, work, sleep routine? No you'd be wrong but it's my fault because I neglect this website a lot and I really shouldn't because hey! who can say they have their own website, and good looking one at that! (cheers Adam) I'm going to attempt to blog a lot more, I know I've said it before but lets try again! we'll see in a few days if I've stuck to it. If you are reading this though be sure to sign up and write a comment, I'm alway curious as to who views my site and where you're from, just stop by and say hi!

Anyways! lets rewind back to last Wednesday (3rd March) where I was in work. I was on my lunch when my phone buzzed, it was an email from Tim who's got me involved in lots of media work recently. The subject headed: Invite for a little trip. I was being invited to South Africa where I'd be making a video for an organisation called "One"

Now I'm not really a charitable guy to be honest but who's going to pass up a trip to South Africa? The best part of this is that it's not really a charity because they're not and ask you for donations, all they're asking is that you change your brand of water. You may go out to the shops and pick up a bottle of water like Volvic or Evian but this is where you change because when you buy "One Water" 100% of the profits go towards building play pumps into villages that need it most.

When enough money is raised these play pumps are installed into the villages. Kids play on the roundabout and as it turns it pumps water into the tanks giving fresh clean water to the whole village, magic! It's smiles all round, kids get to be kids, everyone in the village gets to drink, cook and clean using the water. It's actually a genius idea and all this happens when you change your brand of water, it tastes the same and it's a bit cheaper, so why would you not buy it??

The only reason you wouldn't buy it is because you can't find it. It's actually already stocked in Morrisons, Co-op and Waitrose but our aim of this video is to make the big places like Sainsbury's, Asda and Tesco stock it. You're not going to hunt for it, you need it under your nose so that's why we need them to listen. So "One" have got a facebook group and are aiming for 250,000 fans by March 22nd (World Water Day) when they present their case to these big places, so do me favour, go join the One Difference page, it's not hard, thanks!

So this has been a great experience even though it's been very short, I've seen a lot of happy people who don't need the latest and greatest things, just the basics, they're so resourceful and will make the most of what they've got, you'll see this in the video. I come away knowing they are comfortable and content but not everywhere is like this and these are the places that need play pumps installed so spread the word about "One Water"

Lets fast forward to yesterday, when I was supposed to be flying home. That's right, I should home now chilling out before I go back to work but like I said at the start, I'm sitting by the pool in the sun, why? Well unfortunately I missed my flight back, very bad traffic meant that we had the pleasure of seeing our plane leave, but we weren't on it so "One" have put us in a hotel whilst we wait for our flight tonight, it's actually really nice too, it's an official accommodation for the World Cup so one of the 32 teams will be staying here.

Anyway, that's brought you up to speed, I'm off to Austria next month for the Snow Bombing festival, got a lot of presenting and interviewing to do with some pretty cool DJ's and Bands, can't wait. But between now and then I'm sure you'll here from me,

Later on!
